This room has two areas connected by an open doorway. One side has two double-beds and the other side has a double-bed and a single bed. The room has a large outdoor seating area overlooking the gardens. Please note the fireplace does not work – it is decorative only.

Important information regarding garden rooms and the hotel in general

We are a family-run hotel in a non-touristy town. This means we get great ratings for service, but aside from the activities that we help organize (hikes, coffee tours, massages, kayaks and boat rides to other towns, etc.), don’t expect lots of restaurant/bar options in town. Rather, you will get to see the rhythm of an “authentic” Guatemalan indigenous Maya Kakchiquel town.

Although the hotel gardens are extensive and when you’re in the gardens or restaurant, the bustle and hustle feels a world away, we are centrally located in town, so from your rooms, you might hear the typical noises of a Guatemalan town, such as fireworks, passing traffic, dogs barking, roosters crowing, church services, etc.

The hotel is located meters from the shore, but the lakeshore in San Lucas Tolimán has not been privatized, which means that townspeople get more access to their homeland’s sacred lake. This also means the hotel does not have a private shore or dock.

None of our rooms have lake view, but our restaurant and extensive gardens do, so please enjoy being outside!

Annex rooms (located in the parking lot, across the street from the garden area - please read important information below)

These rooms are located on the parking lot, across the street from the main area of the hotel (where the restaurant, pool, gardens and lake view are). Due to their location, you will probably hear more noise at night. They’re not for light sleepers, but for those who would like to enjoy all of the hotel’s services and ammenities at a lower price.
