Social, ecological and gender commitment
Hotel Tolimán is a project led by Guatemalan women committed to protecting Lake Atitlán and the well-being of our community. We implement sustainable practices such as using solar energy, reducing plastics, saving water, and producing fresh food in our organic garden.
At the same time, we actively support community initiatives, from a shelter for women survivors of violence, a community library and playroom, local cooperatives, youth projects, and environmental conservation.

Retreats & Events
We are proud to be one of the Lake Atitlan Premier Hotel that offers amazing wedding and event packages that suit every needs.
It's super easy to get here - choose your route!
Take a shuttle to Panajachel from Antigua ($15), Guatemala City airport, Guatemala City hotels or most touristy places in Guatemala. Make your reservation with Atitrans shuttles: +502 7832 3371. From Panajachel, take a public boat ($3) directly to San Lucas Tolimán. NOTE: most days, they run approx every half hour until 5:30pm, but the earlier you get to the dock the better 🙂 From the dock, you'll see the hotel and just have to walk. a block to the front desk.
If you have a car, we're the most accessible town on the lake! And we have free parking. Look for "Hotel y Restaurante Tolimán" on Google Maps or Waze and select your route. Both routes have roads in excellent shape (for Guatemalan standards). CA-1 is more windy and scenic (and in the afternoons there may be fog), and CA-9 is a bit longer but less windy, no fog and has a significant portion with 2 lanes each way.
Contact us if you would like to book a private taxi or shuttle (from Antigua or Guatemala City, the cost is approx $100 for 3-4 people and $200 for 5-12 people).
